Is there an interactive map?

The first version of the Mortal Shell II map is a structured location directory. It is designed to answer which page to check for a Shell, weapon, key, Tarstone, quest, dungeon, or item before the wiki has enough reliable coordinates for a full image-overlay map.

This approach makes the map useful on launch day without presenting a static image and calling it interactive.

How should you use the directory?

Start with the entity you are looking for:

Each verified entry should name a region or landmark, any access requirements, the route source, and links to nearby or dependent entities. Search alone is not a substitute for those details.

What locations are officially confirmed?

The official Steam description establishes a compact interconnected world with winding paths, derelict temples, forbidden forests, icy graves, bone citadels, and more than 80 dungeons. It does not publish a complete coordinate directory for every collectible or route.

The map therefore treats broad world descriptions as context, not as exact pins.

When will the map become a visual overlay?

An image-overlay map becomes worthwhile after the site has a consistent set of verified coordinates and region boundaries. At that point, each marker can link to a real article rather than a placeholder. Until then, use Shell Locations and the individual entity pages as the source of truth.
